About Yishai Fleisher
Yishai Fleisher is the International Spokesperson for the Jewish Community of Hebron – home of the Biblical Tomb of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs – and a Middle East hotspot. Yishai works closely with US, Israeli, and global legislators and influencers on issues such as fighting BDS, recognizing Israeli indigeneity, fighting historical appropriation, and strengthening the Jewish people’s presence in Judea and Samaria.
Yishai hosts a popular weekly English-language podcast on Israel, Judaism, and the Middle East. He is a frequent columnist for major news websites including Newsweek, MIDA (Hebrew), JNS and the NY Times and has been featured on CNN, Al Jazeera, Fox, Vice, BBC, and more. Yishai is the founder and director of the non-profit Kumah whose aim is “to share Torah with the world, and illuminate and support the struggle and the miracle of Israel.” Yishai holds a law degree from Cardozo Law in NYC and rabbinic ordination from Kollel Agudat Achim in Jerusalem.
Kumah is a nonprofit organization based in Israel and the United States founded by Yishai Fleisher.
Kumah aims to connect the Diaspora to Israel and strengthen the Jewish State’s national character. Kumah works to share the struggle and the miracle of Israel through innovative media projects including the weekly “Yishai Fleisher Israel Podcast”, public events like the “Israel Heartland Reception” in Washington DC, renovation projects on the ground in Israel, and educational initiatives like the “Israel Biblical Highway” which aims to teach about the historic highway connecting the Judean heartland.
